IPF Equipped Worlds - Final Thoughts

There was a hint of snow in the air as we packed up the 2023 IPF World Open Equipped Championships in Druskininkai, Lithuania.  We saw many world records, close battles and emotional finishes.   Glory and redemption marched hand in hand with heartache and disappointment.  We saw old friends and new faces in equal measure.

In the men's competition, Ukraine had a clean sweep with the team award and the top three best lifters.

Best Lifter Awards

1  Volodymyr Rysiyev UKR - 111.3150 GL points
2  Kostiantyn Musiienko UKR - 110.5416 GL points
3  Oleksiy Bychkov UKR - 108.5930 GL points

Team Awards

1  Ukraine - 54 points
2  Chinese Taipei - 44 points
3  Ecuador - 41 points

In the women's competition:

Best Lifter Awards

1  Taylor LaChapelle USA - 115.3228 GL points
2  Sonja Stefanie Krueger GER - 108.7844 GL points
3  Larysa Soloviova UKR - 108.7140 GL points

Team Awards

1  Ukraine - 50 points
2  USA - 49 points
3  Norway - 36 points

Next year's competition will be in Iceland and preparations are already underway.  See you there!
